Samuel is eager for bidding to get started

Identity theft a 'very real' problem
Even though information can be difficult to safeguard in some instances, there are many other situations where a thief can take advantage of someone's trust or carelessness. Thieves can find personal information through mail theft and dumpster diving, he said.
Others simply look over shoulders, or use camera phones to photograph financial information at the bank or ATM.
Many people fall victim to phishing, Hamp said, where a thief will create an e-mail that looks like correspondence with a person's bank, asking to verify personal information.
Secured sites have lock icons at the bottom of the screen," Hamp said. "If you are on a secure site, the (icon) will be locked."
Hamp said any financial site that asks current customers about their financial information is a scam.
Black Francis Plays Impromptu Gig, Police Intervene
Police had to step in and escort Black Francis away from the scene of an impromptu street performance the former Pixies front man was putting on in Dublin, Ireland, NME reported Monday.
Francis, alias Frank Black, had attracted the attention of about 1,000 Dubliners who amassed in a park Saturday, where he was performing solo material as well as the stray Pixies number. It seems rather than play encores at his normally scheduled shows, Black has taken to playing what he calls pre-cores in random locations, which he lets his fans choose this according to Indie Corner, which also hosts a digital camera video of Blacks police car trying to navigate through a swarm of Irish Pixies fans, who are slapping the car and hollering, rock and roll!
Despite the appearance that Black was being arrested, NME reported that police were only moving him along in an attempt to disburse the crowd.
Scandal tarnishes academy program
One of the midshipmen and two civilian women who say they were unwittingly videotaped have hired an attorney who said he will file a lawsuit, which would likely examine the academy's oversight of the vast program, as well as a number of dark episodes in its past.
Whatever the outcome of either case, both will highlight what critics said they believe has long been apparent: Some sponsors have too cozy a relationship with midshipmen and have become too permissive.
"The sponsor program started out as a great program, and it was originally very limited to when you could visit," said W. Minor Carter, a 1962 graduate and Annapolis resident. "Now, it's obvious that a lot of midshipmen are allowed free access to liquor and privacy with the opposite sex. While the thought of the sex tapes is horrific, the fact that a guy was openly providing an opportunity for midshipmen to have sex at his house is outrageous."
Academy officials admit that they don't have the funding or staffing to closely monitor what happens in sponsor homes.
